Fishing day!

Last Monday was a home study day for Ryan so we decided to ditch the school work for a few hours and spend most of the day fishing. Not my idea of fun because I despise fishing but the kids were super excited and JR lives to fish so of course we went :) I love to see them happy. The park was actually perfect. There was nobody there so we had the place to ourselves and the weather was perfect. We had a really great time and I'm looking forward to doing it again. Next time we will pack a lunch and I will bring a book or something. Oh and next time we for sure need to bring our bikes! Yep, it was a great day and I'm thankful for quality family time :)

Homeschooling

I have never loved anything more than homeschooling! It is amazing!!! It's very very hard and some days are a challenge BUT it's so rewarding when I see how

Good my girls are doing. I'm just amazed! Chloe is reading so well and both her and Alyssa are so excited to learn. Our biggest obstical is finding the time to do everything!!! I truly feel blessed and privileged to be able to teach my kids! I love them so much!!!

Summer 2013 ( a quick overview)

Our summer was AWESOME!!! I say best ever!! We had lots of fun days! We finally decided to get the kids a "big" pool and that was probably one of the best things we have ever bought. My girls can swim so well...like little fish! We spent a huge amount of time in the pool. Ryan, not so much....guess hes not a fish like his sisters.

Our Summer started with a backyard carnival. We invited TONS of people, had a jumper, games, food, music, cotton candy, popcorn, face painting and so much more. My kids had a blast. It is definitely  something I hope to do each yr at the beginning of summer. Super fun time was had by all.

Lets see, we went to Laughlin a couple times, the beach several times, had Chloes fabulous 6th birthday party, went on day adventures to fun places, had friends over LOTS, swam a TON, kids went to palm springs, and so so much more.

Now we are back to business and working hard in school everyday (homeschool) but still finding fun where ever we can :) We try to do something fun every weekend especially when JR is off which is every other weekend. Last weekend we had the fight and had everyone over...that was fun. This weekend is low key because JR works Saturday so I am just catching up on household stuff. Trying little by little to get more organized....its a slow process.

I will do my best to update weekly. I am thinking every Sunday afternoon while I am doing my lesson planning would be a good time. We shall see :)

Need to catch up...

I am so bad about remembering to blog. Honestly this summer has been busy and full of fun so while I haven't had time to blog, I have a lot to blog about! I will try to catch up this weekend. 

School is about to start in a week and I couldn't be more excited! This year will be amazing. It's our very first year of homeschool! Ryan will still be in school because I'm not brave enough to tackle high school! The girls will be home with me. It's very exciting! There is still so much left to do before we start but I will get it done :) The girls will be going to school 2 half days a week for math and fun stuff and the co-op 1 half day a week. I think that's plenty! I have also signed us up for 4 field trips :) I'm over the moon excited!!!!! 

As for family life, all is well. I'm so proud of my kids and my hubby and our beautiful family. Life is truly amazing! God is truly working in our lives in magical ways. I never imagined life could be this good! I know it can only get better from here and no matter what obsticals we face God will show us a way to find the good in it! The changes in the last 2 years have been a blessing and it's shown us what's really important. We are blessed for sure and have everything we need! I am thankful for our wonderful family and friends!! The happiness and peace I feel is just overwhelming :)

Once again!!

Here it is almost May and I so behind in my posting :/ I will do a huge post and update of the last couple months! So much has been going on! All good stuff :))

Girl Scout bingo!!!

Today the girls and I went to a Girl Scout bingo event! Totally fun!!! I loved to have some girl time with my sweet girls! Alyssa for sure had a blast! Every time they called a number she had she would yell "yes!!!" Lol it was good to see her having so much fun! Chloe had a good time too but by the last game she was getting tired and ready to go.

We stopped at my dads after for a quick visit and then finished the night at home just relaxing. GREAT day!!!!

My sweet girl got an award at school last Friday. It was for excellence in English. My baby is such a good little writer...so detailed and imaginative. I love reading her stories and I love how creative she is!!! Makes a mama proud!!!
